When and how to get your wedding guests onto the dance floor....

Updated: May 21, 2023

The key to have a successful and super fun reception is a lot of dancing, but waiting until the end of the night to get your guests onto the dance floor could be a mistake. Therefore, open up the dance floor the second you finish your first dance. If you’re keeping it short and sweet (we recommend 2-3 minutes), an announcement by your DJ, to please join the wedding couple on the dance floor, is a great way to kick off the party and having everyone flood the floor to dance with the newlyweds! The wedding guests will be keen to join the bridal couple.

Check out some of our wedding dance couples in our video, and see how they got their guests onto the dance floor!
